These pieces were designed for an NFL level football team called the Portland Phantoms. The logo features an illustrated logo with a specialty word mark. The brand was then expanded to helmets, uniforms, posters, field display and merchandise. An animated logo and brand standards manual was also created.
These pieces were designed with the purpose of advertising for an upcoming conference put on by the University and College Designers Association. The theme of the conference was hand and machine which refers to the importance of both traditional and modern graphic design. This idea is referenced in the poster by incorporating a photograph of metal type through a stencil. A program was also designed for the conference, which included speakers, a schedule, maps, restaurants and lodging information. Finally, giveaway items were created that were based off the design of the poster and program.

This board game was designed by myself and one other designer in order to teach concrete learners how to play the game of Euchre. Concrete learners are those that like to learn from trial and error. They like to “do” and learn from their mistakes. This game board supports this by having a quick description of how to play the game directly on the board. There are designated spots on the board for placing of cards and scoring. The cards are specifically designed to help assist the user in clarification of the suit of jacks. Overall, the board and all other elements of this game were designed in order to let the players jump into playing the game and to learn as they go.
Polar Bear Plunge is an event put on annually by Campus Recreation and Wellness. This specific year was the 22nd year the event has taken place. The final design focuses on movement and the effect of jumping in water by showing a piece falling through the water with a background made up of the words polar bear plunge repeating over and over. The design was then made into a variety of sizes for posters, social media, tv screens, movie screens, bus ads, print ads and a t-shirt.
This project is a poster designed for the university's Research and Creative Achievement Week or RCAW. The theme of the poster is to share your perspective. Following this idea, I focused on 3D triangles and experimented with placing text on the triangles so that you have to be at the right perspective to view it. I printed directly on the paper then folded the paper to make 3D triangles. The text had to be strategically placed so that it would line up when folded into a triangle. Based on the photograph, I then made the whole design digital. I took this final design and adapted it for a banner, magazine cover, bus ad and animated GIF.
This set of pop-up shops was designed by a set of four groups. The purpose of this project was to create something fun and interactive that also shows what graphic designer do. Myself and a group of other designers designed a coffee shop based on distorted type. The patterns of type were created by scanning text while it is moving. Items were then made using these patterns and other design elements. These items include cups, sleeves, mugs, glass bottles, shirts, tins, stickers, and buttons.
Jenkins Fine Arts Center is a building on a college campus. There is very little signage or directional indicators inside or outside the building of where certain rooms are. Students always have a difficult time navigating the different area and floors of the building. This wayfinding system was created in order to make this task earlier. Directional signage, color code maps, and color indicators on the wall and doors were created in order to make navigating the building easier. Additionally, an app based on GPS was created so that users can have a digital way to maneuver the building.
